Zaha Hadid Architects: UNBUILT
ZHA UNBUILT: a series of exhibitions featuring a selection of unrealized designs illustrating the continuous process of Zaha Hadid Architects’ on-going design investigation.
This exhibition explores a selection of recent design concepts which showcase the remarkable innovations and research that are the foundations of Zaha Hadid Architects’ acclaimed architectural works currently in development.
ZHA’s constant drive for innovation stems from an insistence for experimentation through adaptable and evolving Design processes initiated almost four decades ago. This fertility and pollination of ideas is the result of a fundamentally collaborative approach across the entire practice as well as with engineers and specialist consultants worldwide. It is a collective and comprehensive approach in which design intuition, spatial sensibility, material finishes and myriad functional parameters are considered as interconnected drivers within the growing and continually refined design agenda of Parametricism, inspired by the endless forms of nature.
This exhibition offers a view into ZHA’s ambitious expanding repertoire and showcases a coherent drive towards innovation, re-invention and the evolution of Design Concepts as evidenced through an iterative design process reinforced by a systemic knowledge transfer and openness to new, intuitive and experimental ideas. Testing these concepts on a large range of projects across multiple scales and typologies defines our rich and diverse portfolio as pioneers on an ever expanding architectural vision.
The Zaha Hadid Gallery is open Monday – Friday 1-6pm.
