LFA Open Studios is one of the most popular elements of the London Festival of Architecture: a chance for practices to open their doors to the outside world, for the public to encounter architects in their natural environment, and for new connections to be made.
For the London Festival of Architecture 2018 we are encouraging architecture practices to join together with neighbouring or nearby firms to form LFA Open Studio hubs on a Friday evening during the festival in June 2018. The Open Studios concept for 2018 is simple: pick a Friday night, open the doors, put on some drinks and/or food, and let the people come! The rest of what you do is up to you – whether it’s an exhibition, drop-in design surgery, a talk or simply a party – you can make your Open Studio your own. Forming clusters makes it easier for visitors to drop by a number of different practices at once. And who knows – it could even lead to new professional partnerships too.
To register your interest in LFA Open Studios please get in touch with the LFA team.
Of course practices are welcome to propose events at any other time during the London Festival of Architecture 2018. If these align with our ‘identity’ theme they will be presented within the core LFA programme – more information on how to participate here.
